Joomla Magazine
Manual Index
Preface
Jdocmanual
Jdocmanual is intended to bring together in one place articles that may help users to get the best out of Joomla. There are many sources of articles:
- The original documentation at docs.joomla.org.
- The Joomla! Programmers Documentation.
- The Joomla Magazine.
- Many personal blogs and third party extension provider blogs.
The first two (or perhaps three) of these use the Joomla! Electronic Document Licence (JEDL) which says:
It is designed to foster wide electronic distribution of Joomla! documentation while ensuring that any material added to the documentation by you or others can be taken up and made part of the authoritative documentation distributed by the Joomla! project.
Magazine Articles
The Magazine articles selected for inclusion in Jdocmanual are those that contain tutorial content relevant for Joomla versions 4, 5 and 6+. All have had minor edits to correct spelling and grammar, and to comply with Joomla accessibility criteria where possible.
The top of each article has an information panel giving the original title, author and date of publication. Example:
However, the Jdocmanual public site does not have permission (yet) to republish Magazine articles so the article content has been redacted and replaced with a Review intended to be a brief factual description of the article, like this:
Review
This article explains which Magazine articles are included in Jdocmanual and why they are not publicly displayed here.
This example is not a tutorial so is not in the Magazine articles included in Jdocmanual! The original Magazine article text is present in the database so it can be searched.
Tip: Use the Smart Search.
