Description¶

Mail Templates are used to send system email messages. The Mail Options allow sending Plain Text or HTML messages or both. If only one method is selected the alternative will not be present in the message edit form.

How to Access¶

• Select System → Templates panel → Mail Templates from the Administrator menu.

Column Headers¶

• Title The name of the template.
• Extension The extension where this template is used.
• Edit Templates Flags in this column indicate languages for which a custom email template has been created. Select a flag to open the edit form for the template in that language.
• Description Brief description of the template purpose.
• ID Template ID name. This is the template_id of the mail template's record in the #_mail_templates table in the database.
